Some paintings don’t fall into any other category.
Rock Heads
24×18 acrylic on canvas. I screen captured a couple shots from a video I watched and composed this. It’s a cool view of Mt. Rushmore from behind Washington’s head.
Home Sweet Home
16×12 ink & watercolor, including watercolor pencils. I did this from a few photos, and double matted with a reused wood frame.
In A Field of TX Bluebonnets (Diane’s Grands)
24×12 Acrylic on canvas. From a photo of my cousin’s granddaughters.Gifted to her.
My Patio View
16×12 ink & watercolor. I did this from a couple photos looking out my door.
SK-4 The Flintstones
11×8.5 pencil sketch from a comic strip.
Three Sleds
16×12 acrylic on canvas. I did this custom painting for a brother’s friend. My initial thought was “how do I paint stones?” Seems each painting has its own challenges. I later did a 10×8 of the same for a friend of mine.
Self Portrait #1
16×20 acrylic on canvas. I did this for an art contest with Jerry’s Artarama, a supplier of painting supplies. I had to take multiple photos in front of a long narrow mirror and put them together.
Fireplace Mantle
20×16 acrylic on canvas From a photo; this was my in-laws’ fireplace mantle. They had a beautiful country home. The mantle was one big block of wood. On top of it were pewter dishes and mug with wrought iron and glass lanterns.
The Songbird
11×14 acrylic on canvas boardI love listening to birds sing; especially the mockingbird outside my patio door. Here is my design combining music with the songbird. Throw in some hippie flowers and music notes that play a tune.
